Workshop – Artistic performance with Nathalie Novi featuring the Chapelle Notre-Dame du Haut.
Nathalie Novi is a literary illustrator and a graduate of the École Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris. In her work, she combines various techniques—pastels, acrylics, oil paints, graphite, and colored pencils—and draws inspiration from painting as well as literature, film, music, and dance. Her work, focused on the themes of childhood and family, leads her particularly toward children’s literature. She has thus illustrated some sixty picture books, all by renowned authors, which have allowed her to participate in numerous festivals and book fairs around the world (Belgium, China, Greece, India, Lebanon, Morocco…). This workshop-performance involves the creation of a collective mural inspired by the Chapelle Notre-Dame du Haut, an iconic masterpiece of the post-war revival of sacred art. While Nathalie Novi paints on a large kraft paper canvas (approximately 2 m x 1.10 m), participants create poetic elements evoking the site—the surrounding nature, architectural lines, light, and sensations. These creations will then be cut out and incorporated into the final work.
The workshop consists of several participatory sessions (maximum 12 people per session, duration: 45 minutes from 10:45 AM to 3:30 PM). Each participant creates an individual element on half a sheet of A4 paper using colored markers, before carefully cutting it out so it can be incorporated into the mural.

Workshop open to adults and children ages 5 and up (autonomy preferred). This performance invites you to see the chapel in a new light, to experience its poetry, and—for the duration of the workshop—to become a participant in a collective work inspired by one of the great masterpieces of modern architecture.
